What a life

The last two days have been our hottest so far - temperatures in the high 20's with no wind (we can only imagine what it will be like in June/July!). Sun is certainly less harsh than NZ however; no one at school seems to bother with hats and we've had no problem with sunburn. The kids have been home from school for a swim at lunch time both days, and after school again today. So the pool is certainly proving a hit. I even managed a dip this afternoon.

Second day of school went well and the kids seem to be enjoying themselves and finding their feet. So that's a big relief. Communicating with their new buddies gives them a real incentive to learn French; won't be long before they're doing better than their Dad!

  1. What do you mean it won't be long!

Great to hear school has gone well.

Still want to know what you are doing while the girls are busy learning (and a reminder this is a family blog)?

  2. Faire l'amour et boire beaucoup du vin (from Lance!).

Heather says....doing the housework and filling in lots of French forms for school etc (so just like home then. Worthwhile trip!).

But apart from that: gym at the local hall, french classes, getting haircuts, walking and cycling, and inviting new friends over.
